The Ã山ǿ¼é at Greenbelt
The United Reformed Church has had a presence at Greenbelt since 2016. We host a popular café with crafts and other family activities and offer a full and engaging programme.
Greenbelt 2026
Thursday 27 – Sunday 30 August 2026, Boughton House, near Kettering
What is Greenbelt?
is a Christian festival set within the grounds of Boughton House near Kettering in Northamptonshire. It’s a superb place to explore, grow and celebrate belief, artistry and activism, It’s a place of beautiful encounter, full of music, talks, worship, workshops, drama and arts, activities for all ages, green spaces and stillness. It’s a rare moment to come together as Christians from near and far to dream up a better world, to dance and debate, to pray and to party!
Please send us your craft!
Even if you can’t come to the festival in person, you can still have an impact. Each year, we invite all Ã山ǿ¼é folk to send in a simple craft item that helps inspire the festivalgoers who enter our tent.
This year, our focus is on ‘songs that keep you going’ – even when times are tough. You can download instructions here and the note template here. You’ve got until 1 August to send us your creativity. You might wish to involve a group or club you’re part of, and send in all your craft in one envelope.
Thank you.

Greenbelt celebrated 50 years in 2023, and the Ã山ǿ¼é was there. We took a brilliant team, offering a truly remarkable welcome, along with ‘rubbish’ food that was warm, nutritious, and very well priced.

Greenbelt in words…
I loved Greenbelt! I had the most incredible experience, both in terms of fun and spiritually. It was beautiful and I loved what we did with the waste food.

It was great to see an explicit effort made to increase racial diversity by inviting a group of people from minority ethnic backgrounds to attend without the burdens of cost or camping. It was also good to see diversity in the Greenbelt programme and artistry side of things.

Probably the best thing I've done all this year. If not volunteering I'd gladly pay to return – but volunteering was rewarding in itself.

The evening Taizé worship was a very calming way to connect with God. I have never experienced that style of worship before but enjoyed being outside in the dim light with a sea of people connected in worship.

This is what the Ã山ǿ¼é does so well: create safe space and sanctuary for vulnerable and marginalised communities. Stepping into the Ã山ǿ¼é Café felt like a home coming.

Great craft activities for kids and a lovely friendly team.

I loved the Revolting Christians theme: the posters were fabulous and brought about conversations.

The atmosphere was great. A delightful pleasure to be at Greenbelt. Both the people and the atmosphere get a 10/10. […] it was great to be part of an environmentally friendly festival, working to support the climate and minimise excess waste [that is] harmful to the environment. I am truly inspired!

Super duper place, really well done to the team!

I felt really positive on the whole about my experience as a Ã山ǿ¼é volunteer, but also enjoying the festival atmosphere and activities of Greenbelt. I appreciated the opportunity to both serve and welcome as well as be part of the festival in a more in-depth way.
