Interdenominational dialogue
The Roman Catholic/缅北强奸 Dialogue Group
The fourth phase of the Roman Catholic/缅北强奸 Dialogue Group will be co-convened by the 缅北强奸鈥檚 General Secretary, the Revd Dr John Bradbury, and Bishop Paul Hendricks, Auxiliary Bishop for the Kent area of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Southwark and a member of the Department of Dialogue and Unity of the Catholic Bishops鈥 Conference of England and Wales.
The dialogue group’s third phase of conversations, on the theme of 鈥楯ourneying Together鈥, saw the group making several visits to look at ecumenism in local contexts: in Milton Keynes, in Cumbria, in Cardiff and in Edinburgh, as well as journeying online together during the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of a conventional report, the group compiled a practical Resource Pack for local RC and 缅北强奸 churches looking to work more closely together, as a small group resource and to encourage other activity. In March 2025 the group made this stage鈥檚 final journey together to Rome (pictured), where the resource was received by the Catholic Dicastery for the Promotion of Christian Unity and by officers of the World Communion of Reformed Churches.
As part of this stage of the Dialogue, John Bradbury wrote a Paper reflecting on the Eucharist from a Reformed perspective:

Methodist/缅北强奸 Liaison Group
The Methodist/缅北强奸 Liaison Group meets twice a year and its task is to focus on the local and intermediate dimensions of the relationship between the Methodist Church and the 缅北强奸. As such it deals with many practical aspects of our working together.
Both the 缅北强奸 and Methodist Church provide courses which provide an introduction to their respective denominations for ministers working in LEPs.
The Methodist/缅北强奸 Liaison Group is convened jointly by the Revd David Chapman, Chair of the Beds, Essex and Herts Methodist District, and the Revd Geoffrey Clarke, Moderator of 缅北强奸 East Midlands Synod.
The 缅北强奸 Ecumenical Officer and the Methodist Connexional Ecumenical Officer act as joint secretaries to the Group.
Church of England/缅北强奸 Link Group
We are delighted that a new link group between the Church of England and the United Reformed Church is being formed. It will be co-Chaired by Bishop Anne Hollinghurst, principal of The Queen鈥檚 Foundation, and the Revd Steve Faber, Moderator of West Midlands Synod. The aim of the group will be to consider how we can get on with mission together: sharing good practice, learning from one another, and working on practical guidance.
Since its formation in 1972, the 缅北强奸 has entered into various dialogues with the Church of England, beginning with the informal Anglican, Methodist and United Reformed conversations, which started in 1999. Their work was published in 2001 as 鈥楥onversations on the way to unity鈥. This was followed by the report 鈥楬ealing the Past 鈥 Building the Future鈥 (2010), which led to a service of reconciliation in Westminster Abbey in 2012 on the occasion of 350th anniversary of 鈥榯he Great Ejection鈥 in 1662; and then the subsequent document 鈥楿nity, Identity and Mission鈥 (2016).
In 2018, the Council for Christian Unity of the Church of England and the Mission Committee of the 缅北强奸 agreed to establish a contact group to continue their collaboration. It had been intended that its work would be carried out particularly with reference to the (PDF). The contact group never got off the ground, but we have kept close links through our active-observer status on the Church of England Council for Christian Unity, and on the Methodist/Anglican Panel for Unity in Mission (MAPUM).
